Senior Software Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Software Engineering Manager to join our HQ in Berlin.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a cross-functional engineering squad, contributing to the codebase when required.
You will setup and optimize the team for success, allocating resources to ensure maximum productivity.
Remove engineering blocks, foster collaborative working and enable fast decisions.
Actively seek to identify technical debt and implement strategies to remove it.
Mentor and inspire engineers to deliver their best work.
Act as a feedback coach to your team, conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable insight.
Your Responsibilities:- Lead and Manage a Cross-Functional Engineering Squad
- Setup and Optimize the Team for Success
- Remove Engineering Blocks and Foster Collaborative Working
- Actively Identify and Implement Technical Debt Strategies
- Mentor and Inspire Engineers to Deliver Their Best Work
- Act as a Feedback Coach and Conduct Regular Performance Reviews
- Leading a Cross-Functional Agile Team or Experienced Engineer Looking to Develop Leadership Skills
- Experience Delivering a Technical Roadmap and Working with Product and Business to Ensure Delivery to Tight Deadlines
- Prioritizing and Managing Teams Using Engineering KPIs and Metrics
- Familiarity with Microservices, APIs, Complex Web Applications, and Building Scalable Systems
- Proven Expertise in Software Engineering with a Deep Understanding of Computer Science Fundamentals
- Evangelizing DevOps and Staying Abreast of Key Trends and Best Practices (CI/CD, Containers, Serverless Architecture)
