Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of heavy engineering equipment, including graders, scoop loaders, and trench diggers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy engineering equipment to excavate, refill, grade, and level earth to rough specifications.
  • Recognize malfunctions of assigned equipment and eliminate minor faults.
  • Adjust attachments for proper positioning and utilize concrete paving machines and compactors as needed.
  • Assist and advise on the correct transportation of engineering machines and load and unload equipment.
  • Observe safety regulations governing the statutory rules on safe operation of engineering equipment.
Requirements:
  • A4-05: Completed vocational training as Engineering Equipment Operator or 5 years of experience as Engineering Equipment Operator.
  • A4-06: Completed vocational training as Engineering Equipment Operator PLUS 2 years of experience at a level of difficulty comparable to the Wage Group 5 or equivalent, or 8 years of experience as Engineering Equipment Operator with at least 3 years at the Wage Group 5 or equivalent level.
  • Bewerber müssen den Führerschein Klasse B besitzen. / Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
  • Führerschein Klasse CE erwünscht. / Driver's license class CE desired.
  • English Language Proficiency Level A1 AND German Language Proficiency Level B1 required.
