Position Title: Research Assistant in Materials Science and Engineering

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in formulating a novel approach to expedite long-term testing on the thermomechanical simulator GLEEBLE.
- Evaluate the characteristics of a forging steel utilized in large turbines based on experimental findings.
- Remain informed about thermo-mechanical material behavior through comprehensive literature reviews.
- Contribute to the development of a Machine Learning tool aimed at predicting the operational performance of forged shafts in large turbines.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Desire to acquire hands-on experience in material characterization.
- Familiarity with experimental methodologies and programming/Machine Learning is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and the capability to independently address complex challenges.
- Proficient in both German and English.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
