Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at DB Schenker in Augsburg. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 70 employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of logistics professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of our logistics operations.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and improve our operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Client Communication: Act as a key contact for our clients and provide exceptional customer service to ensure their needs are met.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze and enhance operational performance to ensure we are meeting our goals and objectives.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification: Completed relevant education and certification in logistics or a related field.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience in a logistics or supply chain environment.
  • Agile Leadership: Implemented agile leadership approaches successfully and have a proven track record of driving change and improvement.
  • Operational Knowledge: Proficient in operational processes and have a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in German and have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced MS Office skills and knowledge of SAP systems.
