About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our dynamic and innovative team at PLAION. As a Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure that supports our gaming platform and user account systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust and scalable backend systems for gaming applications and user account management.
  • Implement efficient server-side logic to handle game-related functionalities, such as player interactions, game events, and scoring mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with game and SDK developers to integrate client-side SDKs with backend services.
  • Design and optimize database schemas to support game data, user profiles, and in-game transactions.
  • Implement and maintain database queries, ensuring data integrity and high performance.
  • Develop and enhance user account systems, including user authentication, authorization, and profile management.
  • Implement secure and efficient mechanisms for user account creation, login, and recovery.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between frontend applications and backend services.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to define API specifications and ensure smooth integration.
  • Implement security best practices to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in backend development, security, and compliance.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in backend systems to ensure optimal response times.
  • Conduct regular performance testing and optimization of database queries and server-side code.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a focus on game and account systems.
  • Strong proficiency in server-side languages such as Python, C#, or Java.
  • Experience with database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and common vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English.
