Senior Data Scientist: Laser Process Optimization with Bayesian Methods

Job DescriptionThis is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling to a real-world problem. You will work closely with our team to design and implement Bayesian optimization algorithms for laser process optimization, leveraging cutting-edge techniques such as Monte Carlo simulations and gradient-based optimization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics, machine learning, or a related field, with experience in programming languages such as Python and R. Knowledge of Bayesian methods, particularly Gaussian processes and expectation propagation, is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Qualifications- MSc or PhD in Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or MATLAB
- Experience with Bayesian methods, including Gaussian processes and expectation propagation
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of €55,000-€65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, pension plan, and generous paid time off.
