About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at Schwarz Dienstleistungen, a leading provider of cloud and colocation services in Europe. As a key member of our Commerce Platform domain, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating our cloud-based commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based systems for our commerce platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product strategies and implement technical requirements
  • Develop migration strategies and implement them to replace existing systems
  • Support and consult product teams on the connection of metering and billing systems
  • Automate and optimize technical processes on an ongoing basis
  • Coach and mentor team members to build up and expand their knowledge
Requirements
  • Strong experience in developing distributed and business-critical systems
  • Proficiency in Go programming language and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, and Helm
  • Familiarity with different database types, especially PostgreSQL and MongoDB
  • Experience with event-based systems and necessary technologies
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies and agile software development
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
