The Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, with its 7,100 students, is an important economic engine and innovation hub for the region. Over 600 employees excel in teaching, research, and administration.

We are seeking a professor with expertise in civil engineering planning to join our faculty at the FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CIVIL ENGINEERING. This part-time position (50%) will be available from summer semester 2025 or later.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary, equivalent to the grade W2 of the Bavarian Salary Act. The current scope of teaching obligation is 9 semester hours per week.

Job Description

This professorship involves teaching in courses related to civil engineering, participating in departmental development, and contributing to academic affairs. Our ideal candidate has a university degree in the relevant field, experience in independent planning, design, and construction of demanding building or engineering structures, and expertise in applying digital tools and methods.

They should also possess in-depth knowledge of interdisciplinary work, aptitude for teaching, excellent academic achievements, and a minimum of five years of work experience. This period of work experience must have taken place after completing their degree program and at least three of the five years spent working in a non-academic context.
