Supply Chain Development Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Development Manager to join our team at FSC Global Development GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing forests-based supply chains in the Adria-Balkan region.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of forest management and chain of custody/traceability certification schemes, as well as experience in FSC certification of forest management and related supply chains. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to existing and potential clients of FSC solutions, as well as collaborating with local stakeholders from the forestry and paper/wood, public, private, and NGO sectors.

Main Responsibilities
  • Technical Guidance and Support: Provide necessary technical guidance and support for existing and potential clients of FSC solutions, including Forest Management and Chain of Custody certification schemes.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with local stakeholders from the forestry and paper/wood, public, private, and NGO sectors to support FSC certification and promote sustainable forestry practices.
  • Project Support: Support FSC International colleagues on ongoing processes and projects active in the A-B region.
  • Translation and Representation: Provide or coordinate the translation of relevant documents into local languages and represent FSC at technical events, workshops, or seminars in the Region.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: University degree in forestry, wood processing, supply chain management, or an equivalent combination of education/vocational training and work experience.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in FSC certification of forest management and related supply chains, Due Diligence Statements, and EU regulations implementation.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and at least two of the following regional languages: Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian, or Slovenian.
