About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Product Design Intern to join our Industrial Design Team at Sungrow - EMEA. As a Product Design Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our team in creating innovative and user-centered design solutions for our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct user-oriented research to gather insights into customer requirements for different product groups within our portfolio
  • Participate in conceptual work and design sketching sessions to develop new product ideas
  • Support design exchanges with our global design team to ensure consistency and quality across all products
  • Develop a deep understanding of our corporate brand positioning and ensure that all design work aligns with our brand values
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and product information, and visualize them using relevant tools
  • Support the organization and execution of our Innovation Workshops to drive creativity and innovation within the team
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in Industrial Design, UX Design, Interface Design, or equivalent experience/training/study
  • Availability of approximately 20 hours per week
  • Strong visual communication skills with a passion for aesthetics
  • First-hand experience with Design Thinking, Design Sprints, or other modern collaborative facilitation and workshop methods would be a plus
  • Excellent intercultural communication skills
  • Very good English language skills (approx. C1) and good German language skills. Chinese language skills are a plus but not necessary
  • Motivation to actively contribute and offer expertise
  • Flexibility, keen perception, reliability, and a self-sufficient work style
