Transport Management System Specialist

At Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, we're seeking a skilled Transport Management System Specialist to join our global DTI team. As an interface to Product Management, Operations, and IT, the DTI team is responsible for designing and delivering transformative projects. One of the largest projects has been the rollout of a Transport Management System (TMS) into our global Air/Sea organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate system set-up requirements
  • Perform system configuration, master data set-up, data migration, testing, and support rollouts
  • Ensure the set-up of the new TMS fulfils business needs
  • Perform software quality management
  • Support TMS enhancements, ensure testing and audit compliance together with the business leaders and the project team
  • Coordinate and review business documentation, including changes to business process documentation and training materials
  • Support customer integration projects
  • Set-up and continually improve workflows, develop and optimize the use of TMS features at the company level
  • Support business units in terms of understanding TMS functionalities

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Understanding of the global freight forwarding industry, especially of Seafreight and/or Airfreight
  • Experience with TMS set-up/configuration in Cargo Wise One
  • Profound knowledge and experience in requirements engineering for software solutions
  • Experience in software testing
  • Experience in dealing with MS-SQL is a plus
  • Strong analytical and intuitive investigative skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a team environment across different cultures on a regional or global level
