Senior Technical Engineer for Mobility Solutions

At Manz AG, a leading developer of production solutions for lithium-ion batteries and electronic components, we are seeking a skilled Senior Technical Engineer to join our team in Reutlingen. With a strong background in engineering and project management, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and excellence in our mobility solutions.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical design and development of customised production solutions for international customers. This includes evaluating customer requirements, collaborating with sales teams, and working closely with cross-functional departments to deliver high-quality projects within tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical evaluation of customer requests and collaboration with sales teams to ensure accurate project scope
  • Development of customized production solutions, including machine or equipment concepts, taking into account customer-specific requirements
  • Creation of detailed project documentation, including layouts, timelines, and budgets
  • Cost estimation and budgeting for projects, considering potential risks and opportunities
  • Presentation of project results to both internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Project handover to project management and coordination with product management during the design phase
Requirements:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Fine Mechanics and Precision Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project engineering, experience with product platforms and customization, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The following qualifications are essential:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Fine Mechanics and Precision Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of SAP R/3 and CRM systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken
