We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our software development team at Bruker AXS in Karlsruhe. As a key member of our team, you will work on developing software packages and applications that enable customers to operate our analytical instruments, plan, and perform analytical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop.NET desktop applications for customers to work with X-ray instruments manufactured by Bruker AXS
  • Learn, understand, and improve application business logic
  • Define user specifications and workflows
  • Maintain software packages and applications throughout the product lifecycle
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and quality of developed software packages
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team covering physics, analytics, QA, product management
  • Participate in innovation projects and contribute to continuous improvement of development and deployment procedures and standards

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and skills
  • 3+ years of professional experience in.NET desktop applications
  • Experience with code repositories (GIT, TFVS), DevOps CI/CD build processes
  • Experience with UI / UX development
  • Experience with user requirement specification, user stories, and prototyping
  • Solid understanding of agile development methods
  • Good knowledge of software engineering best practices and the full development lifecycle
  • Teamwork skills, initiative, and a sense of responsibility
  • Motivation to work in a multi-cultural team
  • Proficient English and good communication skills
  • German language skills are a plus
