Job Overview:
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in building and maintaining our data infrastructure to support machine learning models and trading decisions.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using cloud technologies.
  • Develop and deploy data integration solutions for real-time and batch data processing.
  • Collaborate with our ML and trading teams to ensure high-quality data for predictive models and analytics.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance and reliability of our data infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the design of scalable data solutions.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Environmental Informatics, or related fields.
  • Prior experience in data engineering or related fields.
  • A strong hands-on mentality, team spirit, communication skills, and enthusiasm.
  • The ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
  • Self-reliance, effective task prioritization, and strong organizational skills.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python and relevant data engineering libraries.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with cloud-based data processing tools like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, or similar.
  • Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
  • Basic understanding of database systems.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control.
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with the energy market or industry.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Language Requirement: While German is not mandatory, familiarity with German energy terms is beneficial.
