Your responsibilities

  • Advise Uniper's global energy business on issues of national and European regulation, actively reviewing physical and financial commodity transactions for regulatory compliance.
  • Lead or assist internal investigations and responses to internal and external inquiries in the area of trading compliance.
  • Play a key role in the continuing implementation of energy market and financial regulation requirements.
  • Create and present live classroom and online trainings for front office and support colleagues.
  • Coordinate with members of the Legal & Compliance team and all relevant stakeholders in helping to resolve day-to-day trading compliance issues.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Your profile

  • Strong academic background in law or economics.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience advising in the industry or banking sector on issues of national and European regulations, particularly in the context of commodities or financial market trading.
  • Specific experience in MiFID II, EMIR, and MAR is required.
  • Specific experience in REMIT II and/or SFTR is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, judgement, enthusiasm, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment.
  • Ability to take the lead and work independently on any responsibilities within the job description.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of the English language is essential, German language skills are desirable.
