Service Delivery Engineer

As a Service Delivery Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will be responsible for the operational aspects of project delivery, ensuring the financial efficiency and profitability of projects. You will work closely with the Operational Team to manage contractual, aftersales, and warranty issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate valuations, cost forecasts, and cash flows.
- Manage financial control of variations to the Contract and support the Operational Engineers as needed.
- Prepare monthly, interim, and final valuations, applications for payment, and reconciliations of valuations and costs.
- Defend against additional excess project costs, including liquidated damages, and assess liquidated damages against subcontracts.
- Maintain good relations with Clients and their representatives at all times, representing the Company's interest at meetings.
- Review documentation, including contract conditions, bills of quantities, drawings, and other design information, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Attend site progress meetings as needed and liaise with Operational Engineers to record contractual delays and ensure the Company's interests are protected.
- Liaise with other Departments to ensure timely and adequate payments are received by the company for all work undertaken.
- Maintain customer relationships to achieve long-term customer retention, satisfaction, and growth potential.
- Identify customer requirements beyond the agreed project scope to increase business benefit.
- Use personal knowledge to optimize the proposed solution and project costs.
- Participate in continuous improvement, cost reduction, and sales stimulation ideas creation and delivery.
- Make full use of the Non-conformance reporting (NCR) tool to ensure all NCRs are closed out in a timely manner.
- Maintenance management, resource planning, and provision, spare parts management, and control, and ensuring the Asset Management Policy, SAMP, and AM objectives are established and compatible with the organization's objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Contracts Management function, ideally within the Electricity Industry.
- Fully conversant with the latest Terms and Conditions of contract, including NEC & FIDDIC.
- Experience of purchasing procedures and possessing negotiating skills.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations, Current H&S legislation, and Risk Management processes.
- IT Literacy, including MS Office and MS Project.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Suitably Qualified and experienced in Contract Management.
- Health & Safety qualification to certificate level, desired.
- Member of a suitable professional body, desired.
