Senior Manager Downstream Development Lead

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Recombinant Process Development team at CSL. As a key member of our Biopharmaceutical Product Development (BPD) team, you will be responsible for providing scientific expertise and leadership for our downstream process development activities.

The Role
  • Lead the recombinant downstream process development team, providing technical expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Design and develop state-of-the-art purification processes for recombinant proteins, including technology transfer from product development to GMP manufacturing.
  • Provide high-level scientific expertise and guidance in protein purification development, applying a risk-based Quality by Design (QbD) approach.
  • Set project objectives and implement scientific and technical strategy.
  • Gather information on new technology in protein purification and drive exploration and implementation of innovative technology.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) and/or extensive experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience and/or equivalent experience in a relevant academic environment.
  • Relevant experience in downstream process development, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing and contributing to highly effective teams.
  • Experience in project work and excellent communication skills (English language).
  • Experience in working in cross-functional, multicultural, and international teams.
