As a (Senior) Product Developer Flexibility Trading, you will enhance our capabilities for steering, optimizing, and monetizing our portfolio of large-scale batteries and other flexible assets in the German, UK, and NL markets.

Responsibilities
  • Stay up-to-date with our power portfolio needs and the commercial and technical aspects of energy markets and balancing products in different countries.
  • Collaborate with our Short Term Trading teams across Europe to develop access to new products in Commodity / TSO / DSO markets and enhance our asset optimization and trading capabilities to monetize our portfolio of grid-scale batteries.
  • Support the design of customer propositions, e.g., for our e-mobility, PV, or battery customers (B2B and B2C), and work in international projects to implement innovative new products.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories and act as the go-to person for the software development team to understand what needs to be built on our VPP platform.
Requirements
  • Hold a university degree in energy economics, engineering, natural sciences, or comparable studies.
  • Have experience in flexibility trading and relevant experience in product development and the development of VPP systems.
  • Have an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and an interest in Energy Markets.
  • Demonstrate willingness to take on responsibility and deliver valuable solutions while taking personal pride in the quality of your work.
  • Enjoy working in a diverse team across the E.ON organization in Europe.
  • Have excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, with a good command of another European language seen as a plus.
