Bruker, a leading global manufacturer of analytical measurement systems, seeks an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its team. As a trusted advisor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's employment law strategy and ensuring compliance with international regulations.

Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled legal professional to leverage their expertise in employment law to drive business success. Reporting to senior leadership, you will provide strategic advice on employment matters, draft and negotiate complex agreements, and manage labor disputes.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Advising senior leadership and HR teams on international employment law matters
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts, termination agreements, and works council agreements
  • Providing legal support and strategic advice on German labor law issues
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with works councils and representing company interests in negotiations
  • Managing and resolving complex labor disputes and providing representation in labor court proceedings

You will work closely with the Chief Privacy Officer and Privacy Team to ensure compliance with the EU GDPR and related case law in the employment context.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A diplom/master's degree in law
  • At least 5 years of experience as a fully qualified German lawyer specializing in employment law
  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating employment, service, and settlement agreements, as well as works council agreements
  • In-depth knowledge of works constitution law and experience dealing with works councils
  • Thorough knowledge of the application of the EU GDPR and German BDSG in the employment context
