Data Scientist for Wind Resource Assessment Measurements

About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Fraunhofer IWES. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing innovative concepts for measuring wind and other atmospheric parameters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data analysis and modeling techniques to improve wind resource assessment
  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers to validate numerical mesoscale models
  • Participate in industry and research projects, including project acquisition and management
  • Present research findings to project partners and industry clients at conferences and publish in scientific journals

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on Wind Energy or Renewable Energies
  • Experience in wind resource modeling and validation of measuring equipment
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
