Statutory Compliance Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Statutory & Compliance Analyst to join our team at Lloyd's Register. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our global 'Statutory & Compliance process'.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with local offices of our outsourced provider to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely data, respond to queries, and resolve issues.
  • Review and sign-off output from the outsourced provider, including tax returns, VAT returns, financial statements, and other filings.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement and change projects.
  • Collaborate with Group Tax to raise direct tax-related issues for root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Coordinate local audits and ensure timely closure of deliverables.
  • Perform local compliance activities not performed by the global outsourced provider.
  • Support Group Treasury with regular cash repatriation from foreign countries.
Key Health & Safety Responsibilities:
  • Manage compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems, and legal requirements.
  • Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviors, and take corrective action as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Standard working knowledge of English and preferably one or more local European languages.
  • Experience with auditors and working in an S&C environment.
  • Knowledge of local compliance requirements for tax, accounting, and reporting.
