Role Overview

Syntax Systems is seeking an experienced Senior SAP BTP Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Global Business Innovation unit, you will lead the design and implementation of innovative solutions in the SAP BTP environment, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Implementation – Develop complex, robust, scalable, and secure SAP BTP solutions that meet the functional and technical needs of the product, integrating with other SAP modules and third-party services.
  • Architecture and Integration – Build, integrate, and deploy state-of-the-art architectures for SAP applications on SAP BTP, designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure backend solutions using SAP BTP tools, such as SAP Cloud SDK and APIs.
  • Guidelines and Standards – Establish guidelines aligned with SAP strategy for the architecture and design of SAP BTP solutions.
  • Agile Development – Work in an iterative CI/CD DevOps environment, focused on product releases and their evolution.
  • Collaboration – Collaborate with frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and architects to ensure seamless integration of backend and frontend systems.
  • API Development – Develop and optimize RESTful APIs for data exchange between SAP BTP and other external systems.
  • Technical Leadership – Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior developers and promoting best practices in development, security, and performance optimization.
  • Issue Resolution – Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the SAP BTP environment, providing production support when needed.

Requirements

  • Education – Bachelor's degree in computer science or any IT-related field.
  • Experience – 5+ years of experience in SAP BTP architecture and development.
  • Skills – Deep knowledge of SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) (preferably with node.js), SAP HANA, and SAP BTP services, as well as strong experience in backend development, including Node.js, Java, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Desirable Skills – Expertise in SAP Fiori Elements and SAP UI5 integration for delivering full-stack solutions, experience with SAP Cloud SDK, OData, and RESTful API design, and experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
