We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Checktur GmbH, a leading provider of AI-powered logistics solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge SaaS platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our CTO to define and implement our technology strategy
- Take ownership of the entire development cycle, from architecture to implementation, automated testing, performance testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Design and implement scalable and flexible backend services, features, algorithms, and APIs
- Work closely with mobile and web engineers to deliver a seamless user experience
- Optimize solutions to achieve required usability, performance, stability, and scalability
- Participate in our ideation and innovation process to identify and develop new breakthrough technologies
- Guide and advise junior colleagues on software quality, best practices, and design patterns
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Java Backend Software Engineer with a strong background in software development, architecture, and engineering. You should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in Java development, with additional experience in Python or Kotlin being a plus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Excellent programming skills in Java, with experience in backend frameworks such as Spring or similar
- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and flexible data storage strategies, with experience in leading SQL and NoSQL solutions
- Understanding of algorithms and their complexity, with knowledge of coding conventions, best practices, and design patterns
- Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, cloud computing platforms, and automated deployment and monitoring through CI/CD pipelines
- Practical experience with agile development methodologies
