Mechanical Cost Technical Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead for Cost Engineering to join our team at KPIT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for participating in Teardown and Benchmarking analysis, performing Cost calculations of Casting, Forging and Sheet metal components, and creating concept designs and preparing drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Teardown and Benchmarking analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Perform Cost calculations of Casting, Forging and Sheet metal components to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Create concept designs and prepare drawings to visualize and communicate ideas.
  • Coordinate with Cross Functional Teams to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Provide technical and CAD support as per Customer requirement to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience with Value Engineering in Industrial/ Earth moving equipment/ Commercial Vehicle domain.
  • Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in Product costing and cost analysis.
  • Proficient in executing designs with NX (experience with UG NX).
  • Understanding of automotive lifecycle and knowledge of Forklift design.
  • Experience in cost analysis related to automotive products, SAP experience as well as DFMA, aPriori costing tools.
  • Good level of German language (min. B1) and proficiency level of English (min. B2) is expected.
  • Ideal experience in the independent management of projects.
  • Analytical thinking and structured way of working is required.
  • Enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary and international teams.
