Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer / SPS Specialist / Electrotechnics Expert to join our team at a leading chemical manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and optimizing electrical production systems in the SPS programming, automation, and control technology area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement automation projects, including the installation and commissioning of electrical production systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on electrical production systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the EMR operations engineer to ensure smooth operation of production systems.
  • Install and commission new machines and systems, performing preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Analyze and resolve faults in production systems, particularly in programmable logic controllers, computerized process control systems, and servo drive technology.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, conducting regular inspections of electronic systems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement process, implementing optimization measures to enhance production processes.
Requirements:
  • Completed vocational training as a state-certified technician in electrotechnics with a focus on automation technology.
  • Several years of experience in automation technology.
  • Knowledge of production-related IT, particularly in hardware, operating systems, network technology, and application software.
  • Proficiency in SPS automation, particularly with Siemens SIMATIC S7 Classic and the TIA Portal, as well as drive technology (Lenze/Siemens).
  • Strong understanding of process and production relationships.
  • Proficient in common office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and a self-motivated, solution-oriented work style.
