About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team at understandAI GmbH. As Inhouse IT Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our computer systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of our company's computing needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Manage and maintain the organization's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • IT Project Management: Plan, implement, and monitor IT projects and initiatives, ensuring the organization's technological needs are met.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments to identify and address technology-related issues and find innovative solutions.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to ensure the organization's technology infrastructure is in line with best practices.
  • Security and Compliance: Develop and implement security measures to protect the organization's digital assets and prevent data breaches.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value for the organization.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: You have a degree in computer science or have a comparable qualification (e.g. IT training, long years of experience in the field).
  • Technical Expertise: You have excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware/software systems.
  • Data Center Management: You have a broad expertise in data center management and data governance.
  • Network Administration: You have hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
  • Language Skills: You are fluent in written and spoken English (German is a plus).
