Veterinary Pathologist

Role Summary

As a highly skilled Anatomic Pathologist, you will be responsible for conducting microscopic examinations of anatomic pathology specimens and preparing pathology reports in a timely manner. Your expertise will be crucial in advancing the state of veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet caseload and turnaround expectations.
• Provide telephone consultations to clients.
• Consult with and assist other pathologists.
• Interact with, advise, and support laboratory personnel.
• Promote the growth of IDEXX by participating in scientific meetings and developing professional relationships with clients.
• Participate in quality control programs.
• Maintain proficiency and develop diagnostic skills through regular continuing education.

Requirements

• Fluency in German and English language; further languages are an advantage.
• Graduation from a veterinary school and experience in Veterinary Pathology.
• Familiarity with current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine.
• Experience with speech recognition software for dictation.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal capabilities.
• Ability to work independently on routine tasks.
• Experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory is preferred.
• Service- and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Computer skills are required.
