About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ABAP Developer to join our team and contribute to the evolution of our data modeling capabilities. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data models, ensuring they are stable, consistent, and performant.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, from requirement gathering and analysis to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain high-quality ABAP code, adhering to our coding standards and best practices.
- Apply agile methodologies, such as Scrum, test-driven development, and pair programming, to ensure efficient and effective development.
- Provide consulting and support services to internal and external customers, ensuring their data modeling needs are met.
- Transform data models in the ABAP Dictionary into physical data models for the SAP HANA database, ensuring seamless data integration.
- Ensure near-zero downtime during SAP system upgrades by efficiently handling changes to data models and their dependencies, and handling data transformations.
Requirements
- A good to excellent degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences, engineering, or related fields.
- Excellent knowledge of object-oriented design and programming principles.
- Fluent German (at least C1 level) and English language skills are a must.
- Knowledge of database systems, SQL, and relational database skills are beneficial, with SAP HANA knowledge being a plus.
