Process Development Engineer with Focus on Electric Drive Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Development Engineer to join our team at Mercedes-Benz AG. As a key member of our Process Development Drive Systems department, you will be responsible for the development of production and testing processes for conventional and electric powertrain.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and plan new or improved testing methods for electric drives, considering constraints such as cycle time, feasibility, and impact on components and properties.
- Independently work, plan, and execute tests on an experimental and statistical basis, collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Create specifications and testing regulations for test methods, including NVH and leak testing, in collaboration with development and pilot factory teams.
- Derive design and material proposals for production-oriented product design and create technical specifications for the procurement of test equipment.
- Prepare and interpret investigation results, collaborating with development, quality, and production departments, and present findings in reporting committees to facilitate decisions.
- Completed studies in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering, or a comparable field with a corresponding focus.
- Experience in statistics, statistical experimental design, machine and process capability studies, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, vibration theory, and measurement and control technology.
- Knowledge of the design of gearboxes or electric drives, HV batteries, and common manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in German and English.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a structured and creative manner to develop solutions.
