Physical Security Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Specialist to join our team at Deutsche Börse AG. As a key member of our Group Security department, you will play a crucial role in mitigating operational risks for our global physical assets, including staff, sites, and events.
Key Responsibilities- Incident & Crisis Management
- Develop and implement incident and crisis management procedures and conduct regular exercises to evaluate their effectiveness.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders in the event of an incident or crisis.
- Analyze security incidents and maintain the incident dashboard for Physical Security.
- Physical Site Management
- Develop and maintain physical site security policies, guidelines, and processes in compliance with regulatory requirements and international standards.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors at designated DBG locations.
- Oversee internal and external audits, including remediation measures within designated timelines.
- Monitor and analyze existing operational security processes and measures.
- Collaborate with other Group Security teams and stakeholders, including Facility Management, Group Legal, Communications, Event Services, and other departments.
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement and emergency services.
- Event Risk Management
- Develop and maintain event risk management policies, guidelines, and processes in compliance with regulatory requirements and international standards.
- Conduct risk assessments for events hosted or attended by DBG staff.
- Prepare security concepts for events and implement security measures with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors onsite during business events.
- A completed undergraduate degree in security management or a related field, preferably with a postgraduate degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in corporate physical security, preferably in a global environment.
- Experience in steering third-party vendors.
- Relevant certifications in risk management and crisis management are a strong asset.
- Basic knowledge of security technologies for access control and CCTV monitoring.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Independent and structured working approach with an approachable mindset and a strong willingness to compromise.
- Advanced knowledge of MS 365, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
- High proficiency in German and English.
