About the Role
The Marketing team at SAS is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to enhance awareness, shape perception, and expand our presence in Germany. As an Associate Communications Specialist, you will develop and execute the Communications/PR plan in close collaboration with management.
You will be responsible for creating innovative communication formats to engage diverse target groups and stakeholders, combining various tools with curiosity and a passion for integrated communication. While focusing on the German market, you will contribute to the global marketing and communications organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generating, adapting, coordinating, and publishing social media content for our corporate social media channels in local language, including analyzing and measuring success.
- Supporting journalists and influencers, handling media inquiries and press interviews with executives and experts, preparing media interviews, coordinating appointments, preparing content, and briefings.
- Developing customer references in text, image, video, and sound in consultation with our sales teams.
- Taking care of the local OneVoice rollout for a consistent messaging, supporting the rollout of our Global Brand Campaign and Corporate Identity Program in local markets, and developing local messages, translations, and transcreation of videos, website texts, and OneVoice.
- Supporting internal communication, strengthening global messaging, and advising local execs on their communication with media.
- Collaborating with experts and marketing to develop customized messaging for the German market that covers current technology topics such as Data & AI, Analytics, and Risk Management.
- Managing accurate budgets and project costs together with the communications manager.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of communications experience in a tech-oriented company and/or a PR agency preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field. Course work in feature and/or news writing, advertising, copywriting, or related field preferred.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership abilities, taking initiative, and going above and beyond the call of duty.
- Interest in the future of Data & AI and embracing technology (tools and topics).
- Fluent in German/English.
