Your Role

The ZEISS Group is seeking a skilled Product Owner to join our Omnichannel Sales team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in enabling online sales of complete spectacles to our customers (ECPs) through our B2B2C marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be a stakeholder in our design and strategy process, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand market demands and consumer desires.
  • You will derive, structure, and prioritize features and user stories, managing our backlog to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • You will collaborate with UI/UX specialists to deliver outstanding user experiences, interacting with development teams to ensure seamless implementation.
  • You will coordinate the implementation of new features for our international marketplace, guiding and instructing development teams to ensure technical dependencies are managed effectively.
  • You will apply hybrid software development methodologies to ensure all software releases are bug-free and meet the high expectations of our customers and internal processes.
  • You will work closely with the Head of Marketplace to align feature priorities, long-term product strategy, and technological roadmap.
  • You will ensure timely rollouts of marketplace features, enabling evidence-based decision making through data and analytics activities.

Your Profile

  • You hold a university degree in a relevant field, such as medical, computer science, engineering, or business informatics.
  • You have 4+ years of experience in software product development, with a proven track record of successfully launched and operated agile projects.
  • You are familiar with agile frameworks (SCRUM, SAFe) and tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • You possess a strong result orientation, self-driven and autonomous working style, entrepreneurial spirit, and data-driven mentality.
  • You are passionate about consumer-facing, eCommerce-driven digital products and user-centered methodologies.
  • You have the ability to manage and steer projects via cross-functional intercultural teams.
  • You are open in communication, reliable, self-organized, and able to manage several workstreams in parallel.
  • You are willing to take on responsibility and make decisions.
  • You have fluency in English, both written and oral, and German is desirable.
  • You are willing to travel internationally and work with different time zones.
