Infrastructure Reliability Engineer

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Impossible Cloud GmbH, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the technical framework, deploying applications, and overseeing the monitoring of our infrastructure and services.

Your collaboration with Developers, fellow DevOps engineers, and release management will be crucial to ensure that code is deployed reliably and efficiently.

You will take initiative and critically assess deployment strategies.

Join us as one of the pioneering engineers in constructing innovative infrastructure from the ground up in the blockchain sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with developers to foster shared ownership and minimize organizational barriers.
  • Establish and implement effective release management processes.
  • Develop Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) from the ground up.
  • Identify automation opportunities and drive initiatives to streamline processes.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline utilizing modern frameworks such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitHub Actions.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of applications, focusing on monitoring, alerting, logging, and security.
  • Develop and maintain cloud security measures and integrate security services into our infrastructure.
  • Implement comprehensive patch management across all technology stacks.
  • Establish automated testing and deployment processes.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a Senior member or Team Tech Lead in a DevOps role.
  • Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Typescript, Go, or Python.
  • Experience managing Linux systems.
  • Hands-on experience with databases or search technologies like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or ElasticSearch.
  • Familiarity with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience in the blockchain industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of architecture, deployment strategies, and monitoring solutions.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Mesos.
  • Familiarity with cloud storage solutions such as S3, EFS, or Azure Blobs.
