Job Summary
ITT Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team in Germany. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the industrial process division.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the region of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and Saarbrücken.
- Provide technical advice and sales support for new pumps, spare parts, service, and maintenance concepts to customers.
- Follow up on quotations and secure incoming orders with optimal margins.
- Conduct sales negotiations independently and develop annual sales strategies for the sales region.
- Monitor and analyze the market and competitive situation to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and implement market analyses and action plans to increase sales and improve order profitability.
- Maintain and use company IT systems and provide regular reporting to your line manager.
Requirements
- You are a technically interested person with practical experience in sales, operation, or repair and maintenance of pumps or other rotating equipment.
- Experience in sales in the field or service is an advantage.
- You are communicative, have persuasion skills, and a confident appearance when dealing with customers.
- You bring a high level of personal commitment, perseverance, and the ability to motivate yourself.
- You have a high level of social competence and are ideally already well networked in the region in the corresponding industries.
- You plan your work independently with a travel component of at least 70%.
- Good knowledge of German and English in writing and speaking is assumed.
- A affinity for company-specific IT applications and secure user knowledge in MS-Office is required.
- You hold a driver's license, at least class B.
