We at AWO Unterbezirk Münsterland-Recklinghausen provide comprehensive social services with a team of approximately 3,500 full-time employees, focusing on elderly and disability care, children, youth, and family support, as well as migration and active labor market policies.

Our day care program is designed to support families with increased stress and/or risk potential. Children aged 0-3 years can find a place for support, care, and peace with their parents. The day care is open Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday from 9am to 3pm, and Wednesdays until 12pm. Individual home visits are conducted on Wednesday afternoons. We are seeking a

Childcare Specialist / (Social) Educator

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • You will offer individual care and counseling to parents, mothers, and fathers, develop protection agreements, and promote parent-child bonding
  • You will empower people in their parenting skills and develop age-appropriate daily structures, enabling an independent life with children
  • You will provide children with a wide range of experiential opportunities and group activities (baby massage, parent-child programs, first aid courses, personality and perspective development)
  • You will conduct regular development conversations and coaching sessions with parents, as well as individual home visits
  • You will engage in networking in the respective social environment and maintain a trusting exchange with the youth welfare office
Your Qualifications and Skills:
  • A completed education or degree in the (social) pedagogical field, e.g., as a child educator, pediatric nurse, midwife, or similar qualification, as well as professional experience
  • Your solution-oriented, patient, and positive approach allows you to quickly connect with both children and parents
  • You approach different life concepts with tolerance, always keeping the child's well-being at the forefront
  • Attributes such as empathy, fairness, and assertiveness are your strengths
  • You possess a driver's license
