Procurement Manager for Technically Demanding Components

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at OHB. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring technically demanding components for our space industry projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and source high-quality suppliers for complex technical projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and high-quality products.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify cost-effective solutions for procurement.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to meet company requirements.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier performance and contract details.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that procurement activities align with project requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the space industry or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Fluency in German is essential.
- Relevant professional experience in purchasing technically demanding components.
- Experience negotiating pricing and closing contracts with both small and large suppliers.
