Job Opportunity: Locomotive Driver Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Locomotive Driver Trainee at our Bremen location.

As a Locomotive Driver Trainee, you will undergo a 13-month training program to qualify as a Train Driver. The training will take place in Hannover and will provide you with the opportunity to learn about various locomotive types and railway operations in Lower Saxony.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn the basics of railway operations, including locomotive handling and driving
  • Develop skills to operate locomotives with a power output of up to 8,000 PS
  • Prepare locomotives and trains for daily operations, ensuring the safety of thousands of passengers
  • Learn about railway signals, operational rules, and safety regulations
  • Work closely with experienced colleagues who will guide and support you throughout your training
  • Obtain a Train Driver's license for various locomotive types

Requirements:

  • Completed technical vocational training
  • Age 20 or above at the completion of the training program
  • Valid Class B driving license
  • Clean police record
  • Excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm for working with people
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • High level of safety awareness, responsibility, and reliability
  • Willingness to travel and work across Germany

  • A competitive salary of €2,503 during the training program, increasing to €3,337 after qualification, plus shift allowances, Christmas bonus, performance, and loyalty bonuses
