ING Luxembourg is seeking a highly skilled Legal Manager to join its team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of legal advisers for the bank's Retail and/or Private Banking activities.

The main tasks of the Legal Manager will include:

  • Monitoring and analysing legislative and regulatory developments to provide support for their implementation;
  • Assisting commercial departments in analysing and coordinating the legal aspects of implementing or modifying products and services;
  • Drafting and regularly updating the bank's contractual statement;
  • Analysing, negotiating, drafting and/or checking specific contracts to be signed with customers;
  • Monitoring and managing cases involving the Bank's liability;
  • Advising and supporting the activities of the credit and litigation departments;
  • Ensuring the operational management of estates, garnishments, seizures of contributions and letters rogatory within the legal framework;
  • Training the Bank's Retail business lines on new regulations;
  • Assisting the Head of Legal with Group reporting;
  • Coordinating tasks to meet deadlines set by regulations, the Group or internal and external customers;
  • Managing and coaching the team to successfully complete assignments.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Law and over 10 years' experience as a Legal Advisor in a similar field.

Previous management experience and knowledge of other fields of law will be valued.

The candidate should have excellent analytical, decision-making, synthesis and communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills and team spirit.

Fluency in written and spoken French and English is required, with knowledge of other languages being an asset.
