We are currently seeking support in our Field Operation Team as a Project Material Manager (m/f/d) for our locations in Braunschweig, Berlin, or Mannheim.
Your Role with UsIn our modern office, over 250 colleagues from 26 countries are working on research and development for the digitalization of the rail network. The Digital and Integrated Systems (D&IS) department provides answers to global mobility challenges in passenger and freight transport through digitalization. In this role, you will report to Florian Kunze and work in a motivated and committed team. As a Project Material Manager, you are responsible for the industrial working package of a project and a member of the Project Core Team.
Your Tasks:- You will support the calculation of production costs in the offer phase.
- You will ensure that products (generic, customer-specific products, and installation materials) including documentation and certificates are delivered to project participants.
- You will ensure that materials and equipment are delivered on time in accordance with the expected performance and that experiences from other similar Alstom projects are returned.
- You will ensure the adherence to quality, costs, and delivery times during the project life cycle for the industrial working package.
- You will ensure the guarantee of industrial maturity and transferability of the product within the quality process, data maturity (bills of materials, documentation, instructions...), and completeness according to agreed standards.
- You will ensure material availability and optimal stock ranges through optimized material calls, term monitoring, and coordination of all deliveries of production materials, supplies, complaints, and spare parts after ordering.
- You will perform all activities related to the creation, maintenance, and administration of orders and framework agreements in the ERP system.
- You will work closely with the project team and the Competence Center in Charleroi/Belgium.

- You have a successfully completed study and professional experience as a product/process/manufacturing engineer in an industrial company.
- Knowledge of German rail technology terms and safety requirements in rail operation is desirable.
- Experience in international cooperation and willingness to travel within Europe.
- High level of independence, solution-oriented working style, understanding of complex relationships.
- Skills in implementing changes and optimizations.
- High team and communication skills, assertiveness.
- Language skills: German and English fluent, French advantageous.
- Safe handling of MS Office and good knowledge of ERP/MRP tools (SAP).
