Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Logistics Coordinator to join our team at DB Schenker. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods from trucks and containers.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload and load goods from trucks and containers using a forklift or other material handling equipment
• Verify the accuracy of shipments and report any discrepancies to management
• Participate in the implementation of quality, environmental, and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws, such as the German Road Traffic Act (StVO) and the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR)
• Document transactions using a scanner
• Communicate any issues or concerns to team leaders and management

Requirements

• Experience as a warehouse worker or material handler in a logistics environment
• Valid certification to operate a forklift and safe handling of goods
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility and willingness to work varying shifts, including evenings and nights
