We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Expert in Energy Yield Optimization (m/w/d) at EDF Renewables Deutschland GmbH in Hamburg.
As a key member of our project development team, you will work closely with our technical experts in Paris and be responsible for optimizing energy yields from onshore wind projects in Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the assessment and optimization of onshore wind potential and energy yields in Germany
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate wind measurements in Germany, including data analysis and interpretation
- Coordinate and conduct internal and external energy yield calculations, including relevant losses and uncertainties
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including experts, consultants, and project teams
- Select the most suitable wind turbine type and design the park layout in consultation with the technical team
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and inform colleagues about relevant regulations and restrictions
- Provide technical guidance on turbulence, wake effects, noise, and shadowing, potentially with external consultants
- Develop and optimize new and existing processes and tools
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, environmental science, physics, meteorology, or geography
- Proven experience in wind measurements, data analysis, energy yield calculations, and environmental impact assessments
- Experience with software such as WindPro, WaSP, CFD, and GIS systems
- Excellent German language skills (B1 level) and good English language skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to travel within Germany
