Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for directing and executing transportation policies and guidelines within assigned geographical areas. Your primary purpose will be to serve as Chief, Movement Control Office (MCO), with responsibility to supervise, administer, or perform work involved in the procurement of common carrier and other means for the domestic and foreign movement of freight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, assign, and evaluate work to be accomplished by subordinates
• Give advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters
• Supervise, administer, or perform work involved in the procurement of common carrier and other means for the domestic and foreign movement of freight
• Perform pre-audit on freight bills for commercially contracted transportation using available tenders, tariffs, and other guidelines
• Review bills for correctness and compliance with the requested transportation service
• Sign for correctness of services rendered by commercial carriers and for correctness of documentation

Requirements:

• English AND German Language Proficiency level B1 required
• Office automation skills are required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a military driver's license
• Valid German driver's license class B
