Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Sensor Data Fusion and Sensor Resource Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex projects, developing and implementing product roadmaps, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicitation, definition, and analysis of customer and user requirements to derive product structures and system concepts for Sensor Data Fusion and Sensor Resource Management.
  • Portfolio and technology management for Sensor Data Fusion and Sensor Resource Management in close cooperation with program management and all involved business units/programs of the HENSOLDT Group.
  • Creation and implementation of a product roadmap in close coordination with all business units involved.
  • Participation in the development of a strategy for Sensor Data Fusion and Sensor Resource Management, relevant technologies, and ensuring implementation, including planning and initiation of corrective measures.
  • Market and competition analysis and definition of the R&D roadmap for Sensor Data Fusion and Sensor Resource Management.
  • Bid preparation in a bid team, also within existing/future consortium structures or industry teams, including positioning and workshare negotiations.
  • Project management for internal development projects as well as for contract development and system integration, testing, and acceptance together with the project team.
  • Sales support to ensure a successful strategic positioning in the market as well as networking, information exchange, and cooperation in the field of mission systems with other HENSOLDT programs.
  • Support in business planning and maintenance of the business case as well as conducting presentations for management and customers.

Requirements

  • Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, computer science, aerospace engineering, or comparable training.
  • Several years of practical experience in project and/or product management (PMI certification).
  • Several years of experience in portfolio and technology management.
  • Practical experience in complex export sales campaigns, international business practices, and business-to-business activities.
  • Professional experience in the defense industry or with military mission systems and sensor technology.
  • Good knowledge of technology, application, and trends in electromagnetic and electro-optical sensors/effectors, but especially in mission system software, ideally specifically in the field of Sensor Data Fusion and Sensor Resource Management.
  • High methodical competence to capture and structure a complex information situation with a strong focus on solution space, design, and cooperative leadership.
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as persuasion and conflict resolution skills.
  • Business fluent in German and English.
