Job Title: Financial Accountant

At AECOM, we're seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Frankfurt, Germany. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Manager in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, statutory accounts, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Finance Manager in ensuring local statutory accounts and tax returns are prepared on time.
  • Collaborate with external accountants, statutory auditors, and tax consultants to ensure compliance with US and German GAAP.
  • Coordinate Oracle month-end activities, including reporting, within a small group of accountants.
  • Ensure the company complies with AECOM's internal controls and monitor the transition of activities to Manila.
  • Liaise with Shared Service Centers in Manila and Bucharest for payments and invoice processing.
  • Drive process improvements for accounting and statutory accounting.
  • Support cash management and forecasting, and liaise with the Treasury department.
  • Collaborate with the Tax team to manage transfer pricing analysis and other tax matters.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and German is essential.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Excel skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in an accurate manner.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team and with remote teams.
