About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our global team at JOTEC GmbH. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for administering, supporting, and maintaining our global infrastructure, including active directory, hardware, and virtual servers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain our global infrastructure, including active directory, hardware, and virtual servers.
  • Install and maintain hardware and software systems.
  • Act as an escalation point for other IT team colleagues.
  • Monitor data protection, including performing and restoring backups.
  • Participate in the procurement and management of hardware and software.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Cooperate with and support external service providers.
  • Administer security software and hardware.
  • Monitor and maintain the existing infrastructure, proposing and implementing enhancements as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of professional experience in the infrastructure sector.
  • Degree in business informatics, computer science, or comparable training.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop Microsoft operating systems.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE.
  • Knowledge of storage (Netapp, Pure Storage) and physical servers (Fujitsu, Dell, HP).
  • Expertise in the administration and maintenance of Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint.
  • Strong VMware skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in both German and English.
