Job Title: Associate Chemist Analytical
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Chemist Analytical to join our team at Wella in Darmstadt, Germany. As a key member of our R&D organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting the global Wella businesses in the Analytical Wet Chemistry laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execution and reporting of accurate and precise analytical measurements focusing on wet chemistry to enable technical understanding, quality control or regulatory compliance of Wella products and raw materials.
- Development, validation, and documentation of new analytical methods.
- Contribution to analytical quality systems.
- Organization and coordination of the wet chemistry laboratory infrastructure including care and maintenance of the measuring instruments.
- Responsibility for technical and administrative tasks within the R&D team.
- Lab digitization, data integrity, and documentation in line with Cosmetics GMPs.
- Optimization of laboratory processes and analytical methods.
Requirements:
- Vocational training or bachelor degree in analytical chemistry or similar - or equivalent experience on the job.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in wet chemistry techniques, including complex titrations, ideally involving both the execution and development of methodologies in an analytical laboratory. Basic knowledge in spectroscopy.
- Experienced in working against quality criteria, applying technical rigor and precision with attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of relevant quality standards and requirements (ISO, GMP).
- Strong passion for practical laboratory work, with technical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in maintaining lab infrastructure including data processing and small repairs. Affinity to IT and programming skills are advantageous.
- Collaboration skills, demonstrating proactivity, agility, and initiative. Ability to communicate effectively with internal partners and externally suppliers.
- English and German language skills.
