About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Junior Portfolio Manager, Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to our Senior Portfolio Manager and Treasury Funding Desk in managing our Investment Portfolio and balance sheet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Portfolio Manager in portfolio construction and trade execution of the entity's Investment Portfolio, working in tandem with Senior Portfolio Managers globally.
  • Manage liquidity and funding requirements of SSBI, including back-up for day-to-day management of currency positions and the entity's liquid assets.
  • Work with Credit Analysts to buy and sell securities on behalf of the Investment Portfolio.
  • Support other global Senior Portfolio managers with various ad hoc Investment Portfolio duties where required.
  • Prepare reports on investment portfolio strategies, market developments, and Investment Portfolio risks.
  • Communicate developments in macroeconomics and market data in a timely and clear manner to Senior Management.
  • Develop relative value outlooks for European RMBS/ABS/CLO and forward-looking views for these asset classes to guide the investment process.
Requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills and good knowledge of financial markets.
  • High level of flexibility towards undertaking additional responsibilities as required to contribute to the overall team's success.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent excel spreadsheet skills (coding skills are an additional benefit).
  • Capacity to learn new technologies/systems.
  • Professional, dependable, and exhibit a high level of integrity.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with people at various levels of the organization.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of front office Asset Management/Trading related experience.
