Job Title: DevOps Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Specialist to join our team at First Point Group. As a DevOps Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical analysis and validation of IT/networks and prerequisites.
  • Prepare all documents needed for solution deployment.
  • Provide support to teams in charge of physical installation of equipment on customer sites.
  • Execute end-to-end integration and are responsible for validation, acceptance of the solution, and respect of schedules agreed with the client.
  • Carry out investigations required for resolution of incidents by relying on R&D when necessary.
  • You will be the key point of contact for several customers for maintenance and support activities.
  • You will analyze and troubleshoot incidents raised by customers in order to ensure service restoration.
  • Bugs fixing when possible.
  • You will define, communicate, and implement action plans to solve incidents.
  • You will be responsible of restoration and resolution SLAs and communication through customers.
  • You will manage technical escalation in collaboration with the R&D department.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Linux Operating Systems
  • Understanding of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, TLS, SSH, DNS, NAT, SMTP, SNMP, firewalls, and router configurations.
  • Cloud base applications (EX: AWS & Azure)
  • Cloud Native Orchestration (EX: Kubernetes & Docker)
  • CI/CD: Github
  • Scripting/Programming: TypeScript / Golang / Angular / React / SQL / MongoDB
  • Virtualization environments ESX/VMWare
  • Knowledge of DevOps organization
  • Understanding of Optical networks

Assets:

Database: MySQL, Sybase, PostgreSQL, Oracle

Cloud Native Application monitoring (EX: Prometheus & Grafana)

Search Engine/Database (Elasticsearch, Mongo)

  • Programming language, including integrations with JSON, XML, and REST APIs.
  • ActiveMQ message broker

Required Aptitudes:

  • Customer oriented.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal relationships.
  • Autonomy, leadership, and proactivity.
  • Rigorous and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Configuration and fine-tuning of the solution to adapt it to scope of work and customer environment.
  • Ability to analyze issues and provide root cause analysis.

Must Have:

  • Germany based.
  • Language requirement: Fluent in German & English, another language would be a plus (French, Spanish).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Any other combination of experience/studies shall be considered.
