Your Role: Legal Counsel for Banking and Finance

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Counsel to join our dedicated Legal Department within the Business Development / Executive Office division. In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal support across various areas of banking law, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguarding the interests of Stadtsparkasse München.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of banking matters, including credit and collateral law, insolvency law, company law, contract law, and payment transaction law.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support business initiatives and transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and agreements related to banking operations.
  • Stay abreast of evolving legal regulations and industry best practices in the financial sector.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including business units, risk management, and compliance teams.

Your Qualifications:

  • Completed second state examination in law (LL.M.)
  • Proven experience in banking and capital market law within a reputable law firm or financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of credit business processes and bank-specific regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in German (C1 level) and proficiency in English.
