Job Overview

Container xChange is a leading online platform for container logistics and operations, simplifying global trade by providing a neutral infrastructure for all logistics companies.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of engineers, driving maximum business impact through extraordinary and quality output.

The ideal candidate will build a culture of trust, collaboration, and accountability within the team, taking ownership for consistently achieving individual and team objectives.

Key responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders to achieve a balance of business needs, technical foundation work, and new initiatives, ensuring scalability and high-quality deliverables.

The successful candidate will also provide coaching and support to develop the skills of the team, ultimately developing individual careers and creating an environment for growth.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Several years of experience in a web-focused Engineering role building highly scalable applications
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate the team
  • First leadership experience is highly appreciated, but not required if you bring the drive and people-focus to build and manage a high-performing team
  • Intellectual horsepower, with the ability to think strategically and foster pragmatic decisions on complex topics
  • A high personal drive, paired with a strong business sense, and the ability to create and scale efficient Engineering processes
  • Experience working in a fast-growth environment, with the ability to understand the benefits and challenges of it
  • Personal drive and confidence, with the ability to represent the team's interests and take initiatives
